about

"Darts" is the final album of music from songwriter Terrence Russell Adams (The Teenage Prayers, The Parking Lots, The Offending Instruments).

Adams, who passed away on October 7, 2016 at the age of 34, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in late 2015. He recorded these songs on a laptop in his living room in Columbus, Ohio and mixed them in Los Angeles with his brother and bandmate Tim Adams.

A writer by trade, Terry spent his entire adult life writing songs and making music, first with his band The Offending Instruments, then later alongside his brother in The Teenage Prayers and with Prayers drummer Kyle Wills in The Parking Lots.

"Darts" is his final musical statement, a slow, sad impressionistic masterpiece that stares frankly into the face of mortality, exploring all of the fear, loss, and fury with a steadiness and honesty that leads ultimately to a sense of melancholy acceptance and even peace.
